This Mother’s Day, We’re Giving Back to Moms at Texas Children’s Hospital

Mother’s Day has always meant a lot to me—but this year feels especially personal.

When my son was younger, we spent a lot of time in and out of Texas Children’s Hospital navigating health issues we didn’t fully understand at the time. There were a lot of unknowns, a lot of fear, and a lot of long hospital days.

After years of searching for answers, he was eventually diagnosed with Selective IgM Deficiency (sIgMD)—a rare immune deficiency that made it difficult for his body to properly fight off infections. At the time, we had never even heard of it, but finally having answers after so many unanswered questions brought both relief and a whole new learning curve.

One memory that has always stayed with me was sitting in the ICU alone while my husband was out of town for work. I was scared, exhausted, and doing everything I could to stay strong for my son.

And I remember thinking how much even the smallest act of kindness would have meant in that moment.

That experience is a big part of why I wanted to create something meaningful this Mother’s Day.

What We’re Doing

From April 23rd through April 30th, every order placed at Bella Hue helps support moms currently spending Mother’s Day at Texas Children’s Hospital with their little ones.

For every combined $100 in customer orders, we’ll donate one $38 care kit to Texas Children’s Hospital’s Care Cart.

These care kits are meant to provide small moments of comfort during incredibly difficult days.
